Unfortunately, scammers tend to prey upon vulnerable populations during times of crisis. Scammers are using the COVID-19 vaccine rollout to steal money and personal information. This guide will help you identify illegitimate actors. Some tips for identifying red flags include:

  • You are asked to pay out-of-pocket to get the vaccine.
  • You are asked to pay to put your name on a vaccine waiting list or other lists to get early access.
  • You receive advertisements for vaccines through social media platforms, email, telephone calls, online, or from unsolicited/unknown sources.
