ODP Staff Announcement
The Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) is pleased to announce that Tara Giberga will be the new Director for the Division of Quality Management. Tara brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this position.
Tara holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Argosy University, a Bachelor’s in psychology from Shippensburg University, and has been licensed as a health care risk manager. She has 25 years of experience in the health and human services field, including positions with licensing and regulatory bodies, management roles, and direct care.
As the Compliance Officer for The Wave International, Tara successfully led a team in obtaining state licensure for a new site to support women seeking behavioral health treatment, while also leading recruitment and risk management functions. As the Director of Risk Management and Performance Improvement for North Tampa Behavioral Health Hospital, Tara completed Culture of Safety and Joint Commission activities as she functioned as the hospital liaison for all regulatory oversight bodies. She led investigations of serious patient safety events, privacy violations, and managed care complaints, with development and oversight of plans of correction. She tracked and analyzed adverse events and completed root cause analyses in collaboration with hospital administration, medical, and clinical leadership.
In her new role, Tara will direct the statewide Quality Management program for ODP and is responsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating the Office’s Quality Management Strategy across ID/A services and programs.
