TRAIN Recruitment

AIDinPA TRAIN - Trauma Recovery for Autistic, Intellectually Disabled, and Neurodiverse IndividualsIndividuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism are at an increased risk of experiencing trauma, which requires a response from a well-trained workforce. To help clinicians better identify and address symptoms of trauma, the ASERT team created TRAIN, Trauma Recovery for Autistic, Intellectually Disabled, and Neurodiverse Individuals. TRAIN is a 12-week program of self-guided learning and live webinars to equip clinicians across Pennsylvania currently working with ID/A populations with the skills to support clients through traumatic experiences.

Clinicians interested in participating in the spring cohort, beginning in March, are to email AIDinPennsylvania@gmail.com with their intent. Selected participants will have direct supervision from psychologists with backgrounds in both trauma and ID/A and interactive discussions with fellow participants, as well as receive Continuing Education (CE) credits provided through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) upon completion of the program.
