The focus of this series is on the standards for service provision and requirements for Human Rights Teams and Human Rights Committees as identified in the 55 PA Code 6100 Regulations and the Guidance for the Development of Human Rights Teams and Human Rights Committees Bulletin.

This training may be used to meet training requirements identified in the 55 PA Code 6100 Regulations.

From November 2021 through February 2022 ODP offered members of Human Rights Teams (HRT) and Human Rights Committees (HRC) webinar training to delve into the process of “MAKING A DETERMINATION.”

Each session explored a unique scenario and discussed the use of restrictive procedures and whether the proposed intervention would be considered restrictive. In this course you will have the opportunity to review these same scenarios and based on the information provided, consider whether you think, as a member of the HRT, the proposed restrictive procedure should be approved. You will then be able to listen to the recorded report outs of the session and compare your thoughts and ideas with the discussion of the original training.  Additionally, you will be able to witness the types of conversations and questions that should be occurring within the Human Rights Team review.  ODP’s Clinical Team will also highlight and expand on some of the key points and considerations in the process.
