This keynote session will begin with a brief summary of ASD diagnostic criteria and a short discussion on the history of causes and treatments, including debunking myths. Dr. Poindexter will then outline a practical multi-disciplinary team approach for helping people with ASD. Strategies for developing effective programs or adapting current programs will also be discussed. Emphasis will be on respecting each individual’s differences.
