This training will emphasize the significance of the role that families play in supporting an individual and their team with implementing support plans. We will explore ways to recruit family members to become involved with systematic support planning and implementation that is meaningful and effective for the individual.

training discusses what it looks like to prioritize goals, as it relates to SSB
and the importance of this process. Together, we can identify the current
struggles and work on developing ways to meet these needs.

SSD/Systematic Skill Building is a completely new service in the Adult Autism Waiver (AAW). The Bureau of Autism Services has developed this service to address the need to support participants in acquiring skills that promote their independence and their participation in their community.
The Systematic Skill Building Required Training is a 7-Module Training, and will require the submission and approval of a Skill Building Plan.

This is an intermediate level training designed for providers implementing SSB and CS. This training digs deeper into roles and responsibilities, implementing these services, and reporting on progress.
