ODP’s Deaf Services Coordinator will present on a specific subset of
individuals with hearing loss who experience what is called “dysfluency.”
Dysfluency means to not be fluent in one’s own native language. Come learn
about dysfluency, why it is important to recognize, and its implications for
your work. We will also explore “side-effects” of dysfluency and how to build a
communication plan that supports full access and growth for a person with
hearing loss experiencing dysfluency.
