Often times, the people we are providing services to may seem as though they do not have the ability to communicate and/or the capacity to understand what is being verbalized to them or about them. This assumption or misunderstanding can often result in the participant feeling exposed, secluded, violated, or disrespected. This training focuses on this feeling of invisibility that some of our participants often experience, and the different strategies staff can use including examples and a reminder of the values we embrace.
