This session will provide an overview of Positive Behavior Supports to address the needs of individuals with challenging behavior. Participants will be introduced to strategies for conducting Functional Behavior Assessment and developing Behavior Support Plans based on assessment data. Participants of this session will explore the relationship between communication, control and problem behavior. In addition, participants will examine their own perceptions of problem behavior and issues of control - in both the individuals they work with and in their own lives.
